Naruto - Chapter 398 “The Leaf’s Origins”

Been a while since I last blogged. I’ve gotten most things in order with my comp, just need to reinstall some more programs and everything should be back to normal.

Anyway Naruto is finally out this week after Kishi took his break. This chapter continued right where he last chapter left off.

Some interesting things are revealed about Itachi but there is still more to come. It looks like the next few chapters will be flashback chapters but it looks pretty interesting.

Synopsis:
Tobi (Uchiha Madara) explains that itachi was trying to protect Sasuke by implanting Amaterasu into him. He then explains that it was actually Itachi’s mission to kill the Uchiha clan. Sasuke passes out after hearing this and wakes up against the wall tied up. Tobi then begins to tell Sasuke of the past over 80 years ago in a time of war. At the time there were two clans which were considered the strongest, the Uchiha clan and the Senju clan of the Forest. Uchiha Madara had rise to become the strongest in his clan and became its leader. He knew that it was only a matter of time before he fought with the leader of the Senju clan Senju Hashirama the greatest ninja of his time and the man who would become the first Hokage.

Thoughts:
I actually liked this chapter. Even though not that much was revealed I liked the pace and I’m really interested in what happens next. The fact that Itachi killed the clan because of his mission surprised me and I have to admit that Kishi did a goos job this time. This chapter also explains why Konoha is so much stronger than the other villages. It was created when the two strongest clans came together.
