Fairy Tail - Chapter 78 “The Paradise Ahead”

Synopsis:
The members of the Magic Council are in a state of panic as it is discovered that the R system is still remaining. It is suggested that the army is mobilized but they have no information on their enemy. The only piece of information they have is that the group is lead by a man named Jeral who’s identity is unknown. Meanwhile Natsu, Lucy, Gray and Jubia are on a boat following the trail of erza’s sense through Natsu’s nose. When Jubia states that it is surprising how Erza could have been defeated Gray snaps at her stating that she didn’t lose and that Jubia doesn’t know a thing about Erza. Lucy tells the group that the people who attacked were her former nakama and that the truth is that no one really knows about her.

Meanwhile Erza is taken into a dungeon andis tiold that she will spend the night there and that she will become the sacrifice for the ceremony tomorrow. Erza recalls back when they were kids and tried to escape but were caught by the guards. One of th guards told them that just for tonight he would let them all off except the one that planned the escape. Jeral states that it was him but the guard sees Erza trembling and takes her instead. Erza tells them that it isn’t scary as she is taken away and Jeral is asked to go and save Erza. The flashback ends there and Shou apologizes for what happened to Erza back then as it was him who had planned the escape but he was too scared to admit it to the guards. Erza doesn’t care about that and asks whether they know the risk of using the R system to revive people. The R system or Revive System can be used to bring one person back from the dead in exchange for another persons life. Shou states the Jeral will lead them all to paradise and when “that person” is revived they will rule the world. Shou goes on to say what they will do the people of the world when Erza can’t take it anymore and knocks him out with a kick. Erza escapes the magic rope that is binding her and states that she cannot forgive Jeral as she exquips her armour.

Thoughts:
Erza looked pretty pissed at the end.

i wonder what the R system looks like. The battles that should follow this chapter will definitely be great and hopefully we’ll get to see Jeral fight. What would really make this arc awesome though is if the Dragons dissapearance can be explained and what Jeral intends to do with Natsu.

As for why I’m blogging Fairy Tail and not thethingexe there really isn’t a reason. I got home and found the chapter and thethingexe hasn’t responded to me so i decided to do it myself. Anyway I hope next weeks chapter will be good.
