Spice and Wolf - Episode 5 “Wolf and Lover’s Quarrel”

New episode of Spice and Wolf, and I’m not too late at posting…

Pretty good episode, shows what Chloe brings to the anime, I think?

Though, I won’t actually have time to summarise it. I’ll just put some screencaps up for now.

And now I do have time to summarise it!

Summary:

 

It starts off with Lawrence still chatting with Marhait, think of plans to do so that the captors don’t send Horo to the church. They figure it all out, and Lawrence, after saving Horo will run around for a bit until the negotiations with the King is over.

Intel says that Horo is in a storehouse somewhere, so they plan to go there underground in the sewerlines. So they take Lawrence to the sewers and there he waits for the Milone Company men save Horo.

It all works, Horo is dropped into the sewer with Lawrence and rescued on the other side. But she doesn’t seem very happy. Once they get on the getaway carriage, it’s confirmed. That Lawrence shamed Horo, by not saving her but making her walk through the sewers. But they are safe now.

Then Horo reveals who the person she saw was, Chloe! =0

She says some harsh words about how the villiage don’t need to be bossed around by her moods anymore. They planned to turn Horo over to the church. Horo is sad, but Lawrence cheers her up.

They go back in the sewers and will stay there to hide, but that is always where Chloe’s men are looking… dun dun dun.

Thoughts:
Just Horo getting rescued, nothing else much. There wasn’t any spectacular animation this episode either, but it seems now Chloe is worth something.

Wonder what will happen if Lawrence was to see Chloe sometime soon, maybe next episode. Also it seems like with the last scene, Lawrence has some fondness for Horo.

Next episode is Episode 6 “Wolf and Silent Farewell”.
