Al doesn’t like doors?
Well incase people don’t know yet, the new FMA chapter has been scanlated by FrankyHouse. It’s following on from chapter 78 where [CHP 78 SPOILERS:] Kimblee and a Drachma-ian army from the north are about to invade Fort Briggs, and the two Chimeras that were with Marcoh and Scar called Central for help and Envy decides to come. All up, chapter 79 is a pretty interesting chapter. Not much I can say without spoiling it for the people who have yet to read it. I’ll just say FMA is definately coming closer to an end, and this chapter reveals the “solution” they need to beat the Homunculi. It’s just the build up chapters now, sort of reminiscent of chapter 39; for obvious reasons more than anything else really (If you want to bother checking to know what I mean). Also I guess you find out some characters are actually alot stronger than intially presented, and some characters are alot weaker…

Envy caught ugly from trying to kiss Marcoh
Okay, this is basically for people who can’t wait.
Synopsis:
Turns out Fort Briggs really is impenetrable. The Drachma-ian army got obliterated, Kimblee is just sitting there laughing and congratulating the Drachma-ian leader for surviving too. Too bad the leader gets shot, the blood splattering on Kimblee makes him upset. The other Drachma survivors attempt to take Kimblee as a prisoner, but he makes an explosion and disappears in an avalanche, thanks to a particular red stone. The scene changes and strange cloaked Ishvalan none other than Envy arrives. The “traitorous” Chimeras lead him to the seemingly unguarded Marcoh. Envy comes outright and attempts to get him back to Central. But spikes come out of the ground and injury Envy. Turns out the Chimera were really on Marcoh’s side the whole time. The further Envy steps the more traps he falls into, in the apparent minefield that Marcoh had laid out. Envy cracks the shits, hard. Transforms into super Envy (the weird cat/ugly like thing too) and attacks Marcoh. Too bad he gets saved by one of the Chimeras. As all this is happening Scar comes out and does his Destruction thing. But being a Homunculi, Envy does not die very easily. Envy takes Marcoh hostage, chokes him a bit, breaks some bones and makes him his geisha (a butt ugly one, there are a lot of close ups on Marcoh’s precious face), the usually villainous combo. But Marcoh has had enough, takes off his mittens to reveal a Transmutation Circle on his right palm. Marcoh hits Envy with it. Envy fall down, funny. Now the interesting bit in this chapter, Envy’s real form is shown. He is sort of like a mutated fish or chameleon (which makes sense considering he’s ability to change his look). He sort of cries like a little ugly girl and Scar pities the fool. Marcoh won, humans won, woo!
Kids… Never kiss ugly alchemists
Thoughts:
And so it sort of ends there, without anything on Ed. But that doesn’t mean the chapters bad. I mean it’s not like you wouldn’t read it even if I did say it was bad. But point is it’s not bad, FMA is never bad. Another note, Windry is in this chapter, so she sort of caught up with everyone. Hmm, but I’ll say it again, these last few chapters really seem like it’s drawing to the final battle, I mean the Homunculi’s Circle is done, they’ve found the way to destroy Philosopher’s stones. There’s probably just a few plotlines that need to be tied up (like as in Ling Yao, new Greed, etc.) and it’ll be done. I really had wished the anime stayed patient, and did the story like the manga.
i think they should’ve never done that to envy i think that envy should’ve won i love him and nobody hurts him and gets away with it!!! HOMUNCULIS RULE
